Details

This mountain bike ride takes riders through lovely Bear Brook State Park trails on a mostly intermediate level trails.

The ride departs at 9:00am with two ride leaders. We will be rolling at a moderate, endurance/steady, but not fast pace and will split into two groups if that helps allow everyone to have a great ride, otherwise, we’ll stick together. You should come with some mountain bike experience and fitness to allow you to ride for 3+ hours safely on a warm day. If you don’t know about your fitness level, come prepared with the route and ready to ride solo (we already have at least one person who expects to ride off the back).

All riders are required to read and are expected to abide by These Rules.

Waiver

Ride Headquarters requires a signed waiver before your first ride. Please fill it out online prior to your first ride.

Proper bike & Equipment

  • 2” knobby tires minimum.  Wider tires are nicer! Tire choice depends on your riding skill set. We expect to see plenty of roots and rocks along with flowy trails too. Feel free to bring any kind of mountain bike or fat bike.

  • A bike that’s in safe working order that is properly lubed and tuned. We’ll ask you to call for a ride or take an Uber home if you have a mechanical situation that will hinder the forward progress of the group by more than a few minutes.

  • Be sure you have supplies necessary for all common mechanicals including extra derailleur hangers, a multi-tool, tubes, CO2 or hand pump, etc. You are responsible for you and your bike.
