Ride Headquarters Grand Opening & Supplier Day - Sunday, August 21, 2016

Put faces and names to the products that bring cycling bliss! We work very closely with our supplier partners and we are excited for you to have the chance to meet many of them in person.

What is Ride Headquarters?

We are here to bring great cycling experiences to you. Our suppliers make much of what we do possible, and we want to introduce you to the best-in-class products and people we've found.

We are not the usual bike shop. Our bikes allow you to have the best experience in whatever riding you like to do: road riding, mixed terrain, cyclocross, tandeming, mountain biking, road racing, single/fixed-gear riding, commuting, fat biking and more.

We carry all of the modern components, accessories, apparel, and gear you need to have a great ride. In addition, we provide you a place to come and spend time. Meet up for your rides, enjoy time afterward to relax with others. Make and savor a great coffee. Grab something from the fridge. Decompress. Read something in our library.

8:30am - Group Road Ride of 36 miles Departs - Route

9am - 3pm - Supplier Expo

4:30pm - HUGE Raffle to be held - not necessary to be present to win. Proceeds go to non-profits who make riding better through their work.

5pm - Doors Close

10pm - Instagram Contest Deadline, enter to win Ride Headquarters Gift Cards

Mavic - Mavic has built tried and true wheels since 1934. Mavic is here with many demo wheels for you to ride on Sunday. Among the wheelsets are Cosmic Pro Carbon SL, Ksyrium Pro Disc Allroad (CL), Ksyrium Disc, Ksyrium Elite, R-SYS SLR, Ksyrium Pro Disc and more. Mavic shoes will also be here for you to see and try on.
Overland Base Camp - Fun mixed terrain ride event organizers of the highest caliber.
Quality Bike Products - Supplier of bike-related components, accessories, tools, and much more.
Sandy Huckleberry - Massage Therapist who knows exactly what cyclists need. She is offering leg and back massages all day. We'll post her schedule here soon.
Search and State - Road cycling apparel made with the highest quality in NYC.
Seven Cycles - Makers of the highest-quality fully custom, hand-built bikes located in Watertown, MA.
Shimano - Makers of some of the best components for all kinds of bikes. We're fortunate to have New England's Shimano Tech rep here Sunday. Bring your questions, Chris will have answers.
Velocio All-year, all-weather great fitting and great looking cycling apparel for women and men.

We keep adding to this list so be sure to check back about who will be here and what each company is donating for the HUGE raffle.

We'll also be adding to the Grand Opening schedule and offering time slots for leg and back massages, too.

Huge Raffle & Silent Auction

Each of our suppliers is bringing one or more things for the raffle. It'll be worth participating in the raffle.

There will also be a Silent Auction for the extra special items. What are these, you ask?

4 Boston Red Sox Tickets! The tickets are Row A1, which is right behind home plate and visible on TV. They come with a valet parking pass. The game is Sept. 18 against the New York Yankees, with both teams in the pennant race as of this writing. This is an ~$800 value! Proceeds of this silent auction go to MassBike who does very important advocacy and policy work for cyclists.

Raffle Details

Each raffle ticket is $5. Proceeds will be donated equally to three groups:

Ride HQ is matching your raffle ticket purchases to double the donation.

The beneficiaries of the raffle will also be attending our Grand Opening! Get to know the great work and hard work people do.

The items in the raffle are worth a lot. These products will enhance your cycling life! We'll tell you more about what's in the raffle in a few days.

It's not necessary to be present to win. We'll let you know if you won and get you your prize!

Between the moment we open and 11:59pm August 21, we are running an Instagram Contest! Winners of each category will win a $50 Ride Headquarters Gift Card redeemable for any merchandise or service Ride HQ offers. Tag your photo with #ridehq and it'll automatically be entered in our contest. We'll consider each photo for each category prize. Winners will be based on the quality of the photo, the
